The idea is of spreading the word like in a human assembly line, in which students and parents, friends and Eu people exchange opinions, share, on a digital train of REMEBRANCE, common values: as
- Friendship
- Peace
- Solidarity
- Devolp listening skills
- Accept diversities, as diversity is the one thing we all have in common. According to my friend Semel's words " human beings are diverse: one believes in Christ, one believes in Hallah; one has a black skin, one has a yellow skin; one has a different kind of eyes; but we all share the same experience. We are like an orchestra; one is the violin, one is the drum, one is the piano; but we play the same music."
La nostra idea è di innestare un passaparola in una catena umana di studenti e genitori, docenti ed esperti italiani ed europei, scambiare opinioni, esperienze, reazioni ed emozioni da condividere sul treno digitale della MEMORIA unitamente a valori quali:
- amicizia
- pace
- solidarietà
- capacità di ascolto
- condivisione e accettazione della diversità: unico tratto che accomuna i popoli. Così come diceva la scrittrice israeliana e grande amica Mrs Semel " gli esseri umani sono tutti diversi: c'è chi crede in Dio, chi crede in Hallah; chi ha la pelle scura, o gialla; occhi diversi; ma tutti condividiamo la stessa esperienza. Noi siamo come un'orchestra: c'è il violino, il tamburo, il piano ... ma tutti suoniamo la stessa musica. "

Your headmaster must be proud to have a teacher like you in his school, seriously involved in education work.
What is going to be your students role with the Wiesenthal center ? very interesting these contacts! It's a great experience for them and for you! Your pupils can become the next ambassador of the Remembrance of Holocaust in Italy after this project!
I don't know if it is already done but when speaking in January or February , I think just for the question why was is possible? It should be How was it humanely possible?

- The Galicia Jewish Museum exists to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust and celebrate the Jewish culture of Polish Galicia, presenting Jewish history from a new perspective. An innovative and unique institution located in Kazimierz, the Jewish district of Kraków, Poland, the Museum is a registered charity in Poland. The objectives of the Museum are to challenge the stereotypes and misconceptions typically associated with the Jewish past in Poland and to educate both Poles and Jews about their own histories, whilst encouraging them to think about the future.
- Home to the internationally acclaimed permanent photographic exhibition, Traces of Memory, the Museum also shows an exciting range of temporary exhibitions, both curated in-house and sourced from around the world. The Museum's Cultural and Education Programme is one of the most extensive in Poland, providing a range of services for both individual and group visitors, and the Media Resource Centre houses a growing archive of films on Jewish and Holocaust-related subjects. As well as engaging in primary research and publishing, the Museum also operates one of the largest Jewish bookshops in Poland, and the Museum café serves a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks, and offers a range of catering options for visiting groups.
- Used as a mill before the war, today the renovated Museum building has a light, contemporary, post-industrial feel - utilising glass, metal and dark woods - whilst still retaining many of the building's original elements and structure. The flexible space is ideal for housing a range of exhibitions and hosting all types of cultural and social events, and the Museum is a popular venue for local artists, performers, and musicians.
- The Museum employs over 20 full- and part-time staff, in Museum Operations; Education; Exhibitions; External Relations and Communications; and Finances and Administration. The team is headed by Museum Director Jakub Nowakowski, who is supported by an Management Board in Poland and a Supervisory Board in the UK.

WE, THE SURVIVORS
We suddenly stand in the spotlight. Tested, questioned about our feelings. Investigated how we passed it to on our children. Asked about what they said, from normal people set aside. In a special category classified. We the survivors have aroused the interest of psychologists, historians, writers and film makers. In a kind of a last minute panic as we get fewer all the time. We have been discovered in haste to fulfil our duty to revise endured experiences to immortalize and our soul to posterity disclose. So we dig out from the bottom of the drawer .. the memories .... Tears open old wounds again. Were they ever healed? As nothing has to be lost, not even our tears bravely, we thus face the spotlight.

Mrs Sikulova wrote ... " Hi Carmela,Thank you for updating about your project. I was thinking about you too, very recently because Dr. T. from University in Calabria is in Slovakia in my museum working on his research about Jews that went on ship Pentcho in hope to escape to Palestine but ended in Ferramonti Camp in Calabria. He is planning to write a book about his research in Italian- so maybe you could use the text as education tool once it is written. All the best with your upcoming conference, sending my best wishes to all IHRA members that will attend (I am IHRA member in Education Working Group and I was in Italy on IHRA meetings during italian chairmanship and it was absolutely fantastic) and hope you and your students will have great time.
